I try to find good quality items from garage sales. Unfortunately, because of the economy, a lot of people are cleaning out closets. Instead of riding my bike 40 or 50 miles on Sat morning I cruise the garage sales.

I look for unused or slightly used items. Wedding and house warming gifts seem to be the first things sold. Some times I find good quality tools, but I usually keep them. I do a lot of home repairs, so I also look for items that I can use, if not I put on E-bay.

My wife collects LLadros, Hummels, and I like wildlife art.

Future Shock, Archimedes Revenge, mostly non-fiction, I read a lot of news papers and science and mechanically oriented magazines.
