The name - Graberhaus - is a combination of our last name and the German word for house. We are carvers, woodcrafters and doll makers. We take great pride in detailed workmanship.

The eldest member of our family is Orval, age 95. He is a master carver who has been working with wood since he was a child. He currently does the chip-carving on the Hitty travel cases we sell. He has also done a couple of Bleuette travel cases. His son, Vaughn is a master woodcrafter in his own right, making segmented bowls, furniture for humans and dolls as well as making the Carve Your Own Hitty Kits. My name is Susie and I have been making cloth dolls for 40 years and wooden dolls for about 10 years.

I collect dolls, especially wooden ones. I am constantly updating my collection by selling dolls that I have enjoyed to the fullest and supporting new artists in their undertakings.
