Business InformationHistory/background
Got into coffee a few years back with an almost unexpected purchase of an espresso bar. The seller, who became a good friend, introduced me to roasting coffee. I have since educated myself with reading, workshops, Specialty Coffee Association of America membership and by apprentice work. I am having a wonderful time with it after 17 years of corporate life in Mergers & Acquisitions, Telecom, dot com, and software.
Payment policy
PayPal, which makes it easier on both parties to the transaction (though their fees are more painful than they need to be...;-)
Shipping information
I prefer to ship using USPS with tracking numbers to confirm delivery. Priority Mail's high weight-limits and single-sized packages work well all around.
Return policy
Ahh, this is a dilemma which prompts the windy no returns policy that follows... My customers rave about my coffees and teas - and my baking, too. Coffee is like wine in terms of the available variety and nuances of taste. For example, despite Kona's terrific reputation I have yet to taste one that I enjoy. Jamaica Blue Mountain, on the other hand, knocks my socks off but does not appeal to others. Since I sell mostly perishable products that are subjectively experienced by your taste buds, and since I do not possess the resources of a large business, I cannot reasonably accept returns without significant business risk. Know, however, that I do list honestly and completely the details of what I am selling, and I start with the best quality green coffee and roast it to bring out the richest flavor in each batch.
