Works just like the original.
I noted a number of complaints that the electrical contacts didn't fit like the original valve. I found the fit to be tight, but I didn't have to bend or otherwise modify anything to get it to fit. The design is slightly different that the original part with the same part number, but it works perfectly.

Fits perfectly.
I had concerns that this wouldn't fit my 10' umbrella since my measurements were slightly smaller than what the product specified. However, it fit perfectly. In addition, the pockets that hold the ends of the ribs were heavier than the original and it appears they could easily be replaced by anyone with basic sewing skills. (It's the pockets that wear out first.) Note that there is only a small (~1/4") hole in the center. You need to cut out enough to fit your umbrella frame, but that's not a big deal.
