Most of my resouces go to buying fine gemstones and settings. My collection of more than 1, 200 figurines of violinsts has taken second place.

I am a violinist, as well as a jewelry creator. I play violin in the local symphony. For years I have collected figurines of violinist. I also collect fine gemstones.

I have been married for 63 years and have 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. From 1946-1960, my husband & I were missionaries to the Navajos. Then we taught in the New Mexico public schools. In 1969 we moved to Normal, IL. where I became Professor of Education at Illinois State University My assignment was to help teachers learn techniques for teaching children and illiterate adults to read. I have several publications written about this. I also helped teachers to utilize computers in education. I retired in 1996 after accumulating 35 years in the classroom. Nowadays I just make jewelry, play violin and take part in church and community activities and shop! I have been confined to a wheelchair for the last 10 years, but that does not stop me from enjoying my 8 great grandchildren and taking part in a wonderful life!

Gemstone Creations is new. I have had so much fun in creating jewelry, that I made more than 200 rings, pendants and ear rings. So Gemstone Creations was established to be a market for them. With the proceeds (if there ever any) I can buy material to enjoy making more rings and things!

I prefer Pay Pal. It is faster and safer for both of us. However, if needed, I will accept a cashiers check.

I will ship by USPS at this time. I have had difficulty figuring out how to charge the least amount for shipping. I am now shipping everything flat rate, as defined by USPS. I will sometimes need to add a handling charge for mail containers, gas to the P.O., etc. Depending on how much I can sell at one time--I should not need more than $5.00 max and probably not that much. This is not an area to make a profit from!!

If you are not happy with your purchase, you have 7 days to return it. Email me and let's talk about the problem. If I have made a mistake, I want to know about it and correct it, if possible. Otherwise, I will refund your money. Please ask for a stock number before requesting a refund. Put the item in a bubble pack envelope and return it to my company address: 1327 E. Vernon, Normal, IL 61761. Shipping fees and insurance will not be refunded and the customer is responsible for return insurance and shipping.

I will NEVER knowingly use fake stones. I am not a gemnologist or an appraiser, but I will test each stone, with refractive index, specific gravity, microscope inspection, etc. to be as certain as my skill will permit in identifying stones. The gemstone current approximate value data is from GemVal, which is considered a reliable source. I have not reached perfection yet, so probably at some time I will make a mistake. If I do, I want to know it. If you show me an appraisers statement in writing and I will make it right. I am anxious that you have a pleasant transaction.

I tried auctions and it did not work! I was selling $200 & $300 items for $.99!--and after paying Ebay fees, I was coming out with big losses. I cannot continue to do this. Every item will be sold at a fixed price (or sometimes best offer) that will be fair. Remember gold and good gemstones are not cheap!
