Great alternative to a landline
I was tired of paying $50 a month to Comcast for a landline and after much research decided to give AT&T Wireless Home a try for $20 a month. This wireless unit was easy to install (I chose to wire it directly to the copper in the house so I have functioning telephone jacks in all of the rooms). Prior to install, I dropped by the AT&T store to have them place a sim card in this unit... They even tested it before sending me on my way. Once installed, voicemail was set up and I was done. The unit registers five bars on signal and voice is clearer reception than what Comcast was giving me. One caution is that this service does not support fax machines.... But hey, who really faxes anymore?
Perfect option for an alternative to a landline and it's completely separate from the internet giving me a phone to rely on when the internet service is not working.
