eBay My World: has5509( 961)

I've had an account with Ebay since 11-05. I buy & sell. I am 52, married and live in Central IL. I am a dbl. amputee since 6-04. Ebay allows me to be the people person I have always been. I have made many new friends. My buyers happiness is #1!!

I sell mostly books, now, due to the higher postage rates. I will sell small items occasionally. The little seller is hurting because they can't sell their items at a cost even to make a small profit because of shipping costs. I feel that Ebay has been taken over by the huge stores 'n corporations because they can afford to buy in bigger bulk.

When I need or want something, the first place I look is Ebay and I always get it cheaper than in stores! I buy most of what I want or need right here. Not only cheaper, but super convenient for me.

Crocheting fridge magnets and dishtowels with the button closure for stove, etc. Making my bookmarks, reading and music.

I read mystery / thrillers, horror, true crime, drama, a good variety. Authors James Patterson #1, Mary Higgins Clark, Stephen King, John Saul....I could go on, but I don't wanna bore ya.

#1 is Simon Birch. I love horror movies and movies that are based on true stories, but watch all types.

My fav are the oldies of the 50's and 60's. 2nd country, but, I love music period, so, listen to most varieties.

Survivor, Big Brother, Kitchen Nightmares, Most Haunted, Ghost Hunters, Ghost Whisperer and #1 American Idol. Such amazing young talent.

I'm definitely not one of the big stores on Ebay. Since the postal rates went up, I don't buy near as much merchandise to sell. I think that the higher rates have hurt we small sellers. Also the fact that there seems to be far more Big stores than when I first started selling. I do feel that it affects the small sellers.

I only accept Paypal and Paypal e-checks after being burned too many times. It's a shame.

I ship within 5 business days, same day as payment if I can. I try to be as accurate as possible on shipping and charge a very minimal handling fee. I will never gouge my buyers on these fees. Payment due within 7 days of end of auction. I do combine shipping.

Stated on my auctions. I offer optional insurance and do stand behind my buyers 100%.
