Thank you for looking. I have been modeling trains for almost forty years. I love the gritty look of freight cars in consists, pulled by MU'ed lashups, out in the open desert playa where the trains seem incredibly small.

I tend to sell freight cars, occasionally I'll throw in a building or locomotive.

I have been experimenting with weathering methods and began selling my creations in the late 1980's when guys started asking me to do work for them. I always hated that new plastic look, even as a small child. I am also an operator with exacting standards. There is nothing worse than having cars that derail at every glance away. To me this is the definition of frustration. Every car must pass a number of tests in order to make it off of my work bench and onto the layout or to auction. Buying Hat Creek Railway products is buying quality. I might also add that not only do I paint 1:87 I have been known to paint cars in 1:1 scale. But, I can't possibly touch Mother Nature's weathering hand, so I leave that for her!

I accept Paypal, Money Orders and personal checks. Overseas buyers are encouraged to use Paypal so that the currency exchange is easily transacted.

I don't gouge for shipping, like some sellers. I don't need to make up fees this way, I figure that if buyers are interested in my items, my fees pay for themselves. I charge a reasonable rate (generally what the Post Office charges) and overseas buyers can get quotes in a few days, it takes time... please allow for it, don't ask the day before the auction ends. I ALWAYS combine sales to save on shipping.
