About

I take eBay seriously. As a seller, I do my best to write descriptions such that people don't need to ask me questions. As a buyer, frankly, I maintain my standard of living by shopping on eBay. I have some VERY expensive hobbies.

Just the basics...
Does what it's supposed to, and that's about it. Kind of lacking on the inputs side. No Phono input, but most people aren't looking for that these days. 2 digital inputs, they're not re-routable. The RX-884, which I've already upgraded to, has 3 digital inputs, and they can be assigned to different video inputs. Sound wise, it's fine. Plenty of power. Has basic EQ. The 6000 is kind of a "just the basics" sort of Dolby Digital receiver. It will do the Dolby Digital surround you're looking for, but nothing fancy. - Chip

LIght enough...
They stick pretty well. Don't know about the wet performance, cause it never rains here in TX, these days. When are those hurricane's getting here? They're light enough.

Didn't work.
Installation was troublesome. Couldn't get it to boot with the new processor reliably (blank screen sometimes, would boot others). Eventually, it stopped working. Let's face it... Mac's are "well-balanced" machines. If you go messing with the fundamentals like this, you're gonna have problems. I was trying to install on a 1.25 GHz DP MDD G4 Mac. My conclusion... 1.25 GHz is as fast as you're going to get when running OS 9.2.2. C'est la vie...
