Semi-Precious , Hand-made Jewelry
I don't use junk! I search for beautiful materials, and take pride in using good quality in my work. I admit it; I am inspired by Robert Redford's Sundance jewelry catalogue--there are some beautiful, original items there. But, I am also disgusted at the prices and the inferior materials used. I can make something 10 times nicer for half the price, in many many cases!! As I have always sold most of my jewelry to people that I actually know, and want to keep as a friend, my prices are always what I call girl-friend friendly--that is, the lowest I can make them, and still make it worth my while. In many cases, a single necklace will require 2 days of work, and the materials will be absolutely one of a kind, and difficult to obtain, but I still try to keep my designs affordable. Every woman deserves a little beauty and glamour in her life, and I believe you shouldn't have to be Paris Hilton to get it! The reason I began to make jewelry is that I was tired of paying a fortune for junk!
Business InformationHistory/background
I have a bachelor's degree in French, and around 10 years of design school under my belt, at UCLA's Architecture /Interior Design Program. I began my own interior design business in 2001, and started to make jewelry in between jobs, first for myself, and then, upon request , from people, even men, who wanted to buy it off of my neck! I still love interior design, but find jewelry making more fulfilling, and will do this until i die! You will never EVER see anyone else wearing what you purchase from me, unless it is one of the very small collection I make using my signature bauble, and they bought it from me. I have a collection pending representation in a fashion showroom, and, if they make it worth my while, I will be going 'nationwide' soon. Nothing could be more exciting to me!!
