AKG Perception 200 Studio Condenser Microphone
For my first real studio mic, I'm very pleased. This is where they get the term, "more bang for your buck." I played my Martin into it with one (Sony MDR V-6) headphone on and one off, balancing the volume between my natural ear and the signal coming from the headphone and there was virtually no difference in tone quality. I use it straight into my computer for vocals and acoustic guitar with little or no post production eq. Until I have a couple of grand to blow, this will serve me well and may well be duplicated in my studio a couple of times.

Swiss Army Knife
This stomp box is feature-packed and sounds great when you dial it in. Slight learning curve but well worth the effort. Go from crunch to face-melt with a click of a button.

A.I. Artificial Intelligence
It's a Speilberg! Great sfx and story. High-tech Pinocchio. Not really a "family" story. Well, unless your family has been de-sensitized by the movie industry already to sexual and violent content, that is. Then I guess your kiddies won't have nightmares of being shot through a cannon into a large fan that... well, you get the picture. Kind of eerie, in a way how it tries to lead us to believe that we, as humans, want to love and be loved and if we feel loved we can actually return that love. Even to a warm, cuddly machine that's programmed to love us. Ahhh, amore...
