Garmin Nuvi 885T GPS
3 of 3 found this helpful I researched everywhere for many months to find the right GPS for us. We are in our 60's, so hearing is a problem and we need as few distractions as possible.
This GPS has 2 speakers and you can hear it very clearly. When the window is open, radio on or air conditioner...it's not as bad as many that I've heard but we automatically listen harder or correct he problem.
The voice activation works very well when you get the hang of it. It responded to both of our voices immediately. We just have to learn how to properly use it.
The touch screen is great, but when you are moving, the voice function is so much safer.
We live rural Idaho, so we can't activate the MSN or traffic...that's dissappointing.
It had a few problems with some rural addresses but as we drive around, we familiarize it.
We hunt, so we are anxious to take it out on the BLM roads and try to track with the off road function.
We like it very much. It will suit us for many years to come.
