Godzilla is the king of the monsters...
This was the last film of the Showa series when Godzilla was mostly portrayed as a 'good monster' and saves the world (and Japan) from evil monsters. This was in contrast to the later Hesei films where Godzilla was portrayed as an unstoppable force of nature, sometimes becoming an incidental hero, but still an overall danger. The Showa series is my favorite because these are the Godzilla films I grew up with as a kid. Even when Godzilla was portrayed as the villain in the earlier films I still cheered for him as the monster who was 'misunderstood' and just trying to survive, the same way we are supposed to feel for him in the Hesei series. That being said...the plot to this one is kinda corny, as most Godzilla films. If you love B-movies then you should find this one fun and hilarious. However, Akira Ifukube's musical score does set a rather somber tone at times. I do feel sorry for the girl as it appears she is being used as a pawn, and the mad-scientist who is also mis-understood. He's really not all that "mad", he's just MAD at the people who fired him and went too far. LOL. The monster scenes are good and there a few moments when you see Mechagodzilla being reconstructed and he looks bigger and badder than before. Again, Akira Ifukube's musical score makes you feel very dramatic like "oh my God, the odds are really against Godzilla." Which is pretty much the theme that is built up more and more in intensity until you come to the final battle. As I said, this is the last Godzilla film of the Showa series so if you haven't seen this before the final battle can be suspenseful, wondering what will become of the Big G's final fate.

Everyone's favorite monster in a heartwarming role!
When I was a kid I loved Godzilla. A lot of Godzilla fans dismiss this one as being silly. But I love it. Isn't it great when dramatic actors cross over into comedy? Godzilla was one of my childhood heroes, its great to see him in a humanized role, being a dad, beating up bad monsters, and saving the day! Godzilla makes a great role-model in this one. This is a great Godzilla movie to watch with the youngsters.

A classic movie along with its sequels...
Back To The Future is a classic movie. Its almost timeless. Its fun, its energizing, and creative. Awesome special effects, comedic elements are all there, just the right amount of drama and irony, and the DeLorean is fun to watch as well. Crispin Glover is hilarious as Marty's spazoid dad and Lea Thompson is funny as well as cute in many respects. This is the ultimate movie for slackers... Part II is not as bad as some say. If you don't get too worried about the scientific side of things and accept the fact that its a science-FICTION movie, and a comedy at that, you will enjoy this one as well. Plus, you really have to watch this one to understand Part III. A lot of the predictions they made about the future are hauntingly hilarious. Part III is just a fun conclusion that tops off the trilogy and leaves a happy open-ended ending for Doc, Marty, and Jennifer's fate.
