The item appears unused but would expect the seller to clean the open box items before shipping as it was covered with dust and it was shipped in a poly bag without any kind of padding. The damaged part of the box is badly ripped off and though the seller has mentioned it, the images posted have the damaged part cropped out and left to the buyers imagination.

Open damaged box indicates just that. I have sold hundreds of items in this condition with no complaints. This is for the customer who wants the item but doesn't care about the packaging. May I suggest buying the much more expensive new sealed item in the future.

Stop wasting your money and buy this!
I have purchased many sharpeners to get that factory edge. Some by CRKT and Spyderco among others. None of them gave me the results I was looking for. Put these on a $40.00 bench grinder and it will be the best sharpener you ever purchased. I was a little intimidated in the beginning so I tried it on a few fillet knives. After a short learning curve I have all of my knives razor, shave the hair off your arm, sharp. It's not portable but it is the best home sharpening system I have ever had bar none.

Roomba, You'll be surprised what is on your floors!
Overall, I was really impressed with how well it works. You'll be surprised at how much it picks up when you empty the bin. It works equally as well on hard wood, tile and carpets. It does a good job of getting under and around obstacles. It is "smarter" than I thought, It doesn't just go around bumping into things. It creates a very effective pattern. You do have to pick up any carpets with tassles etc. It will get stuck on small dog toys and socks. It is a little noisy so we usually run it when we go out. It does occasionally require some maintainence and cleaning. It will not totally replace vacuuming but it can cut down on how often you have to do it.
