TM1602A works with WideOpenWest (WOW)
Arris TM1602G is on the list of compatible modems for WideOpenWest cable and internet provider. I took a gamble when I saw a used A version for only $28. I can confirm it works fine for 30 Mbps on WoW in Chicago. I have not able able to test out the telephone. Warning - you will either have to email or call WoW and tell them the MAC address on the bottom. The WoW employee changed the MAC from my old SB6183 to this one, while I was snoozing, and killed the internet in our house. On a hunch, I swapped the modems and BOOM internet back up. So, make sure you have a way to contact WoW if you internet is down, like a land line or a cell phone (this has nothing to do with this modem).
I bought this modem for three reasons
- no super bright blue LEDs (unfortunately, this has dull blue, google blue and circadian rhythm if interested)
- can add telephone later
- since no battery, works with my auto-booter device. A G version with battery you can't electrically reboot.

Load DD-WRT.
No clue how this modem works without DD-WRT. Piece of cake getting DD-WRT once you get to its web interface, no swinging a dead chicken five times (/sarcasm).
I bought it because
-it has green LEDs instead of blue,
- has 8 LAN ports instead of 4,
- has wireless N,
- and you can put DD-WRT on it.
Two biggest downsides are its not AC and its 100 Mbps LAN, not 1Gbps. Neither has been an issue for me.
You can read up on the advantages and disadvantages of DD-WRT, but one I have not seen is its the same interface for three different routers (WRT54GL, Asus RT-N16, and this) , sort of like using a Windows PC.

The question is, should you read the book first or watch the movie first. Because if you read to book first like I did, you will keep on noticing things that got cut or moved around from the book, like in the book Harry gets the new broomstick on Christmas, but in the movie at the end.
Seemed to movie the movie was loaded with gimmicks; Aunt Marge took a loong time to blow up - couldn't that been cut so something else could be left in ? - and young wizards are supposed to be in rage when doing magic without a wand, not wistfully looking at it going on. The Shrieking Shack is one big gimmick. Not a gimmick, but in the book Dementors make everything go dark - you mean you couldn't figure out how to do that in film?
One last whine, there is not enough of Severus Snape, the best actor in the bunch in my opinion.
