On Monday, February 18, 2008, my 20 year old daughter was hit by a car while walking home from work, at approximately 6:30 in the evening. She has been in the hospital since then. She sustained a head injury with a bleed, and has experienced headaches and nausea since that time. I would love to start a neighborhood group with people that have gone through this, to get support and also know what we are in for and what to expect. Overall, she seems to be doing pretty good, but it's been a slow process. You think they are doing great as they start to feel better, but then there are setbacks, it's can be really frustrating. And it's so hard to see someone you love in pain, and not be able to help them...other than be there by their side. She gets very antsy and restless lying in bed all day. I have been staying at hospital with her everyday since the night it happened.
