Sounds better than it is
Phone was not as easy to program as anticipated, nor have I been able to find out how to activate it, and Verizon was no help at all. Since this is supposed to be "their phone" I expected it to be very simple. I'm quite disappointed.

Great item, outstanding value
I purchased this to replace the original drive that came with my Toshiba Satellite notebook because I'd managed to murder it. This one is twice the size of the original. I love having the ability to save many movies on my hard drive so that I can take them with me without having to drag a huge case of DVDs around. It performs well, the speed is quite satisfactory, and I'm very happy with it. The only improvement would be if someone would make larger capacity internal hard drives for notebooks with the OEM depth of 9.5mm instead of the 12mm most of the 1TB and all of the larger capacity ( 1TB) drives are.

Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend this product.
When I first got this, I was so excited. It was the perfect size. Typical of all Blackberry products, it was slow to boot up, but that's just the way RIM's products are, so I was prepared for it. I didn't purchase it for speed, but as a back-up device in case of problems with my Toshiba notebook. I should have done a little more homework. This only runs Blackberry apps, not android or windows. It has no SD slot, nor does it accept a USB flash drive. It was still fun, although a little difficult to figure out where downloaded files were stored, etc. Well, I didn't use it for a few days, so didn't think I'd need to charge it. I plugged it into the charger a few days ago and left it plugged in overnight. Nothing. I plugged it into the computer using the micro USB to USB cable. Nothing. I contacted Blackberry customer assistance, who responded promptly and suggested a couple of things to try. Nothing. Now I'm being told I need to call in to make arrangements for repair or replacement. I've had this thing less than 1 month, and already it's dead? It's assembled so that there's no way for me to be able to take the back off to see if something has just come loose or to replace the battery if necessary. In other words, there's no way for the consumer to try to service it themselves. They must take/send it somewhere for who knows how long. I'm definitely not a happy customer at this point.
