Hello, This is meant as a constructive suggestion. When drummers are talking "drum talk" a drums size is always the DEPTH first and then the DIAMETER. For example, the mounted tom on Ringo's first set of Ludwigs was a 8 X 12....meaning it is 8 inches deep and 12" in diameter. This is standard jargon from many, many years past. When I see drums listed like 13 X 9, I have to email and verify the size. Also, drums are measured from the edge of the shell to the opposite edge of the shell. Someone with no knowledge of drums could offer up a 8 X 12 tom but measure it as a 9 X 13 because they measured the rims instead of the shell. Since you took the time to put the help sheet out there, I just wanted to assist and maybe head off any misconceptions on the measuring of a drum. Thanks for indulging me. drumboy1956
