The IZADORA EXHIBITION was started to lovingly recycle fine vintage bags that are being used in an online visual exhibition. My vintage bags were handpicked for their craftmanship, heritage, materials & beauty.

Most vintage handbags. Some have been restored and cleaned and others have been reimagined. I also have a few new items that I really love. My bags are from top midcentury labels such as Bellestone, Koret, Palizzio, Lesco, Stuart Weitzman, etc. They were the IT bags of their day and the classics of today. They are made from the finest croc, alligator, ostrich, python, cobra, snakeskin available. Age has added a patina that can't be duplicated. Make one of these bags your statement. Anything Hemmingway, Vonnegut, Hardy, Jane Austen, Rowling, Rice, etc. I like plots that take me to a different world that I can still relate to. I also love, love short stories by David Sedaris, Calvin Trillin, Hemingway, Poe, etc. They have a bigger impact (on me) than most longer novels.

Little Women in all it's incarnations. The original The Women from 1939ish, Bringing Up Baby, Audrey & Katherine Hepburn movies, anything with Cary Grant, Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslett, Tom Hanks and .... Recently watched Marie Antoinette and really liked the sensory experience that helped me understand the characters. Loved the soundtrack. We look at new music as different from the classics but this film demonstrated that Adam Ant can be quite baroque.

all Mozart, Vivaldi, Gershwin, Handel, Chopin..... New favorites are Coldplay & Duffy.

I have been collecting vintage handbags and was going to do a physical exhibit of middle-class mid 20th century bags but this has evolved/devolved into an online exhibit of these bags. By doing it online I can move handbags - buy and sell - and cut down the cost of each item which was getting expensive. This also helps me with bag storage which was starting to get a bit tight. It is quite challenging getting a digital camera to capture the beauty and feel of a handbag. They pop in a photo tent but don't capture the connection women have with their bags. I am working on capturing this connection in what I display on e-bay. When I think of my mother's bags I get an emotional connection to the placement of bags. I knew she was going out when I would see an evening bag on her bed or on a side table. When I come home and see my daughter's bag in the kitchen I know she is home.

I prefer Pay Pal but will take bill pay type checks. These must clear first before I mail the bag. Payment must be made within 5 days after the sell. If you have some special difficulty let me know and we can work through the problem.

IT WAS LIKE PUTTING A SIZE 9 FOOT IN A SIZE 6 SHOE. THE BAG ENDED UP WARPED AT THE BOTTOM AND HAD SKIN DAMAGE FROM BEING SHOVED IN THE BOX. STILL FRUSTRATED ABOUT THE DAMAGE TO THIS BEAUTIFUL BAG.

I have a no return policy unless the item has been shown & described substantially different than the actual item. I have found that when I have been surprised by an online purchase it has usually been my speed and inattention to details shown. Mistakes can be made so let me know and we can work through the problem. Remember - most of my bags are vintage - not new - and have been lovingly used or stored for many years. Please take a good look at the photos and ask me questions you have before you bid. Many of my bags are natural skins, such as alligator/snake/ostrich and the skins have individual patterns and dings that they were tanned with. This is how you know an item is genuine compared to an embossed leather. The imperfections are part of the beauty. These bags will last many years as long as you keep them dry (wet floors,etc.) and away from the family dog. (and your daughters) IF THE ITEM IS DAMAGED/LOST IN SHIPPING LET ME KNOW & WE WILL FILE A CLAIM ON INSURANCE.
