I named my store Castaway Furnishings and More because the items I sell have been castaway by someone and are treasures to be found in the sea of Ebay! They are vintage items such as pottery, glass, home items, clothing, collectibles, and more.

Most of the items I sell are things I find attractive and unique. I rarely sell anything I would not want for myself. I list items every week, so keep checking for more wonderful treasures!

Sometimes I get the urge to go to a favorite thrift shop near home and spruce up my inventory. I have a rather vast interest, lucky for you, so I sell all things I love and hope you do too!

I collect so many things! I love pottery, glassware, milk glass, jewelry, art, books and furniture. I collect what I sell and always have trouble letting it go, but one can only keep so much! I am not beyond stopping by a trash heap and perusing through it! I just love great finds! People cast-away things all the time!

I love to bike, walk, go boating and garden. I have a rather extensive vegetable garden and grow wonderful organic vegetables such as tomatoes, beans, beets, pattypan squash, peppers of all sorts, turnips, carrots, and Swiss chard. Love, love, love my garden!

I have a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Virginia. Many books are my favorites. I particularly love 18th and 19th century literature, not so much modern lit. I try to read a few books a year, but free time is at a minimum these days! Latest book I read was My Sisters by Debra Ginsberg. I now intend to read Brunaleschi's Dome. Since I traveled to Florence last summer I am intrigued. Next on the list is Ulysses since I was in Dublin for vacation this past summer.

Brave Heart, Gone With the Wind, Apocalypse Now, American Graffiti, Halloween, and so many more, especially scary ones!

Country, Classical, Blues, Bluegrass, some Latin, Irish, and most music really!

I love Dancing With the Stars, Nip/Tuck, food network and HGTV etc.

I worked in retail for 15 years in the fine jewelry area. I began selling fine watches at Christmas, and it then turned into a full time job! Eventually I was promoted to manage my own fine jewelry department. Moving on, I was promoted to a regional supervisor position in which I managed 15 stores/departments at one time. Ultimately, my children were born and the call to stay at home was stronger than the call to go to work outside the home! I have never regretted my decision to stop my career for my children. They are now teenagers and eBay is the best possible job!

I ship via U.S.P.S. I charge the actual shipping prices according to the post office using netstamps. If you would like a tracking number to an item, please let me know before, or when payment is made, so I can be sure to provide that for you.

As far as returns go, if you are very dissatisfied, then please let me know before you leave feedback. I will certainly do my best to make you happy. If you want to return the item you may. I will refund everything to you after I receive it.
