Never pay retail! You can always find it cheaper online. Born in Portland, OR, went to college at Westmont in beautiful Santa Barbara, then moved to the CA desert for graduate school. Now I'm in VA & work in DC as a Postdoc at the Naval Research Lab.

Random stuff mostly. My wife & I hate being pack-rats, and we live in a 750 sq ft apartment, so we try to keep it immaculate. Old digital cameras, my laptops whenever they finally crash on me, unique tools whenever & wherever I find them, electronics, and basically anything that's taking up closet space.

Basically, stores are for people who are too lazy to find it cheaper and who are too impatient to wait on the shipment. So being that we're penny-pushers, I like to buy all the little things that would cost $40 at BestBuy for $2 on eBay, like USB connectors, media card readers, etc. I just bought ink cartridges, since they were 80% cheaper than from Dell.

Nothing. Nothing at all. I'm a loser, and was way cooler when I was a little kid (PS - Bo Jackson: you're still my hero).

I just sell things here and there.

I usually accept PayPal, checks and money orders. But for my more expensive items, I won't accept PayPal because they take just as much of a fee out as eBay, and they're all under the same ownership!!! So for a $100 item, eBay takes out listing fees (a couple bucks), then their final value fee would be like $7.50. Then PayPal would take something similar to that final value fee, about $7.15. Now that sucks. So that's why for expensive items I won't take PayPal anymore. I hope you'll understand.

I hate it when people try and make their profit on shipping. It's my pet peeve. So usually I'll take a small hit on shipping in order to provide a better price. My wife says I'm too nice.
