I am now creating unique, hand-made beaded necklaces/pendants. I am also art agent for Walter Velez and am selling his art.

Along with my illustration work, I am also using my art experience and skills to create ACEO (Art Cards Editions and Originals). I am fascinated with the art that is being produced exclusively for sale on eBay and the Self Representing Art community and am becoming involved in this fascinating endeavor.

I am a professional artist/freelance illustrator. I think of myself as born with a pencil in my hand. For as long as I can remember, I have been doodling, whether it was on a paper napkin at dinner, the side of my school notebook, or on a pad. As a professional illustrator, I have painted hundreds of covers for books. I have worked on cover art for horror, mystery, fantasy & science fiction books for most mass market publishers, small & specialty press. For years I have participated in Science Fiction & Fantasy conventions showing and selling my art. My art has been exhibited at the NY Illustrators Society, New York Art Students League, the Delaware Art Museum, New York Lever House, the Philadelphia Moore College of Art and the Seattle Science Fiction Museum. I have been nominated for the World Fantasy Award five times. I have now produced archival signed limited edition prints of my work & can share them with a world-wide audience through my website and eBay.

As a child I was surrounded by beautiful things. My mother was an antique dealer. She loved Limoges, Wedgewood, Rose Medallion, Kirk Silver, cranberry glass, Victorian jewelry, etc. After college, I became an art teacher and five years later, I too became an antique dealer. I found my specialty when a dealer friend was selling her business & moving to Florida. As I entered her shop, I was overwhelmed by her stein and tobacco jar collection. I made my first purchases. From then on, I became known as a “stein dealer.” I collected and sold Mettlach & Character Steins, Pottery, Stoneware, Pewter, and tobacco jars. Over the years the prices soared & availability became challenging. I returned to my art.

I prepared for an art/illustration career though much hard work. I honed my skills and become a Life Member of New York’s Art Students League. Now, 29 years later I find myself returning to my love of antiques and books. Over the years my collection has grown and my tastes have changed. I still love the steins & tobacco jars and have a collection of Alice in Wonderland books & ephemera, porcelains & assorted collectible objects.
