Like my computer...
I recently switched from my dell pc to a iMac and that is what inspired me to get an iPhone. I spend just as much time at my computer with my iMac as I did my dell, but i spend more of that time working with my content and files and less time managing my computers functionality. The same is true about my iPhone. I had a Blackberry 8900, which was great and I have nothing negative to say about it, however I spend more time USING my iPhone and less time maintaining it. It has been wonderful so far and there is a good chance I am hooked for good.
NOTE: i am using mine on T-Mobile and running 3.0.1 and it is fantastic
