About

HI! I am an avid doll collector, and especially looking for a certain bride doll I had in the 50's. I live in OH & have just gotten back into selling. I wear a lot of hats; wife, mom, grandma & Great Grammy and friend! Please look through my guides!

Not what was expected
The doll's hair is crunchy, seems to discolor quickly, holds very few poses.

Drooling Over These Beauties FOREVER!
I have been watching these for years now. My home is small, and I could NOT decide which size. Then I actually saw this one at someone's home and was hooked! I also watched the creator's video on You Tube. This one is 44 inches tall, has eleven joints including ball joints in the wrists, elbows and knees allowing for so many poses! She can wear outfits you can purchase almost anywhere in a 4-5Toddler size and you can change shoes, (size 10 kids) and even hair styles to match your décor or mood. She is supposed to be about a 6yr old and believe me, she looks the part. I live quite a distance from my family and am not in the best of health. I can't wait for mine to arrive because I feel like being alone so much and not really near my grand and great grandchildren, she will remind me every day that kids are SO special. She can keep me company when I can't be with family. The art is amazing, the facial expression is priceless and her clothing is superb. If you've been on the fence like I was, then by all means get off the fence and online. For the price of a high end porcelain artist 18" doll, you can have a companion that actually looks like one. So get going. These seem to go fast and I NOW know why! I am so glad I saw the exact doll at a friend's home. I actually said "HI Sweetie" when I first saw her; I thought she was my friend's granddaughter LOL! But that's how lifelike these appear when dressed and seated or even standing. If purchased new, they come with a substantial wooden stand as well. The artists are simply AMAZING and rightfully proud of their creations. They are SO special. I hope this helps if you've been wondering! Wonder no more. I've collected dolls for more than 60 years. I've never seen anything like these dolls before (unless they were running around, laughing and climbing up on my lap!) I have my childhood rocking chair, dusted and polished it, and am awaiting this darling little girl to fill it once again. Many blessings! NOTE: She arrived today May 18, 2016. She is in the rocker my grandpa had made for me as a child. Eerie how much she actually looks like I did. I have already put away her pretty dress and have redressed her in a darling leisure outfit, put her hair in pigtails, and have put the most darling little shoes on her. She looks so real my kitty is still missing LOL! He does NOT like change. Guess he will have to get used to his new "Sister" because she's here to stay. She's even MORE beautiful than the one I saw at a friend's home. Shhhhh, don't want any hurt feelings, but mine has blue eyes and they are just so expressive. She's a hefty little girl. I weigh about 90 pounds and it was likely me trying to get her out of the box and dressed that drove my kitty into hiding. Can't wait until hubby gets home. He will be amazed. He's OK with my passion for dolls, but has likely NEVER seen the likes of her. Of course, being so limited in editions these dolls are just precious and few. If you're on the fence, please take a leap of faith. You will NOT be sorry. I am THRILLED! She even arrived 2 days early! What a TREAT! Doll lovers, save up, she's worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! God Bless, JJ

Creating Fashion Dolls by Sabrina Guide 2003 (reviewed)
For someone who already knows a bit about repainting, this book won't help much. If you are truly a beginner and don't know what to use to remove old face paint or what paints and brushes etc. to use, this would be OK. I found it very basic and was hoping for something much more in depth for someone who already knows the basics.
