I retired in 2005 after over 40 years as a soldier, detective, and forensic examiner. In 2009 I started a small business selling on eBay. Jim's General Store is now open. The store,like Atlanta, will always be under construction.

Whenever possible I plan to link items listed to sources of information on the item quality, source and history, as well as guidance on how it is used. I've always figured there is someone smart enough to write knowledgeably on just about everything and I should be smart enough to read what they wrote. When I was about 30 I bought a house with a swimming pool even though I had never learned to swim. The local library had plenty of books so I used them to teach my kids and myself to swim. We can learn about anything if we are willing. So if you have an interest in any of the items I sell or I am interested in drop an e-mail and I'll try to link you with someone smart enough to teach us what we need to know.

I started on eBay 2008, very slowly in order to learn the basics. Although I have spent most of my life, so far, as a soldier, detective and computer forensic examiner I am not new to business. I've been a soda jerk, waiter, bartender, restaurant manager, bar manager and salesman. I've also chopped cotton, picked cotton and hauled hay, which taught me that I did not want to chop cotton,pick cotton or haul hay. The Army gave me the opportunity (in support of and in addition to my job as a detective) to train as a contracting officer, property disposal manager, distribution manager and pretty fair locksmith. I spent some time learning to install imaging and listening devices after picking locks (we called it covert neutralization of locking mechanisms). Hopefully, these experiences plus working overt and covert with victims, witnesses and bad guys prepared me for eBay. My education is in management, organizational leadership, criminology and computers

Normally, I ship to any country that does business on eBay and uses PayPal, usually within 24-48 hours after payment clears.
