far better than the hvx200
3 of 3 found this helpful It's thinner and lighter compared to its predecessor. Better image quality overall because of the ASA rating of 500 compared to the HVX at 320. (for those who don't understand that means the camera is far superior in lowlight conditions). The colors blow me away too, you can achieve some sick images straight out of the box. here is an example.
