Works well, and much cheaper than "known" brands.
This is a useful tool for the owner of any Newtonian reflector telescope. I was reluctant to pay too much for one, as it was bought mainly to collimate a telescope I had bought for next-to-nothing (even less than this collimator, cheap as it is!). However, once I had adjusted this scope using this instrument I was amazed at how much better the image was. It is a sturdily built unit, and is supplied with a 1.25" to 2" eyepiece conversion piece, and a nice box to keep it in. Possibly my only reservation, I suppose, is that I didn't need the converter and it would have been nice to have been able to buy just the collimator. However, it's no great burden and one day I suppose I might need it...... The collimator comes with good instructions, but I'd recommend watching one of the excellent on-line videos out there if you've never done the job.

A great brake package!
Very nicely machined rotors, with chamfered holes and an overall excellent finish.
Pads look very well made, and so far have demonstrated no tendency to coating the wheels with lots of dust, like the pads they replaced did! They were easy to install, which indicates that they have been accurately sized and machined. Braking performance is very strong and smooth.

If you want the next best thing to real!
2 of 2 found this helpful An admirer of this iconic and clever design, I have been wanting to own a German helmet for some time now, but the price of the real thing has been the stumbling block. Here we have an excellent and accurate replica, every bit as weighty and solid as the real thing. It looks well made, and the materials certainly look authentic. I'm sure a true expert in the Stahlhelm could pick up a few issues, but for me, and for most people, I think it would be close enough. Dare I say you could not buy better in this price range?
I suggest that if you want to know how effective its protection is, read the other review, but don't perform this ultimate product test yourself! Although it seems fine, you have no guarantees about the metallurgy of this helmet - so this would be hugely risky!
Paintball fans might like to add a bit more fun by wearing this. WWII Re-enactors might find this a better choice than using an expensive real M35 Stahlhelm - but I suppose it depends how hard-core your group is about using only genuine equipment.
