All About MeWhat everyone should know about me
My husband and I have been buying and selling antiques and collectibles for over 20 years. Our first auction brought us together and we fell in love with the business as well as each other. We do at least 33 markets a year.

A Flea Marketers Friend
Treat your dealer with respect and you will make a friend for life(or at least get a better deal).LOL! Seriously now, ignore the advise in the magazines that tell you to hang around to the end of the flea market and ask for a discount of 1/2 price. Nothing bothers a dealer more than someone acting like their doing him or her a favor by offering half on a priced item. Walking away and hoping the dealer will call you back isn't a good idea either. I ususally think don't let the door hit you in the ... well you know the rest. Most flea marketers make a modest living. We love the business or we wouldn't do it. At 2.00 plus for a gallon of gas, it takes more than a sense of humor to drive 3 or 4 hours before dawn so that you can set up a decent display for the market. Many of us are designers at heart and love the act of coordinating displays. We search long and hard for that special item for our customers, so please don't abuse us by offering a rediculously low price for an item.
