I have been a programmer analyst, though it's been 20 years since I did that for pay.
I have a degree in cell biology. I have tutored organic and general chemistry as well as mathematics, physics, biology, statistics, genetics, writing, and Japanese (a little, along with grading papers for the first year class one semester) at a community college for 8 years.
I really wanted to be an evolutionary biologist, I discovered while I was studying in college.
I volunteered for several years with a local astronomical association that now has a planetarium, and helped with their beginner sessions and developed and presented most of their planetarium shows that they put on for the first 2 years after they purchased their planetarium.
I have also studied linguistics in college. Recently, I have been studying history for the first time seriously--The Middle East, Wars of 20th Century, U.S. History & interventions, The Caucasus, Viet Nam, India, etc.
