The Northern Angler is a full service fly fishing shop that is based in Traverse City, MI and has been in business since 2003. We have a brick and mortar store, an online store (www.thenorthernangler.com), and an Ebay store.

The Northern Angler started in late 2003 with the attitude that fly fishing should not only be for the well off or the very experienced and that people should not limit their fly fishing to just trout. We stock lots of flies for pike, bass, carp, saltwater, trout, panfish, salmon, steelhead, you name it! The store recently (Jan 2009) moved into a new location in Traverse City and also launched a new website (Dec 2008) that includes an online store (www.thenorthernangler.com). We also maintain a blog that can be found at thenorthernangler.blogspot.com.

Through the Ebay store we accept PayPal or credit cards processed through Ebay as that is the only accepteed Ebay payment method. At our shop we accept basically any payment method.

Most of our shipping is done via USPS Priority Mail or First Class Mail and is charged at the actual shipping rate unless we are running a free shipping special (which we do on many of our items).

We accept returns for cash back (buyer pays return shipping) in cases where the item is broken or defective.
