Little time for hobbies, other than eBay.

I started selling on e-bay to help supplement my income because I was about to become unemployed. My store name, Kays Corner Closet, came about when I was thinking about what I wanted to sell. While standing in my closet one day looking at all the things in it, I decided that Corner Closet would be a good name. I decided that the closet needed to be owned by someone and K is the first letter in my first name so I decided that it would be owned by Kay. Thus I ended up with Kays Corner Closet. I know that grammatically that ‘Kays’ is incorrect so sometimes you may see an asterisk between the ‘y’ and the ‘s’. Still not correct, but better. Unemployment was short lived, 3 weeks, but I enjoy doing this so much I have continued. I have always wanted to start my own business but I think this is the closest I will ever come to doing so.

I only accept payment via PayPal. My international customers are responsible for all custom duty, taxes or other fees charged by their Country. I request that payment be made no later than 5 days after the winning bid. Most BIN require immediate payment. A reminder invoice is sent if payment is not received within 5 days. An unpaid item dispute will be filed with eBay if payment or communication from the buyer has not occurred within 7 days.

I prefer to ship priority mail via the United States Post office. Items costing more than $40.00 require customer paid shipping insurance. Shipping insurance on dollar amounts under $40 is a customer paid option but, please understand that I am not responsible for lost or damage on uninsured items. In most cases I will ship worldwide using international priority shipping. Those items that are only offered to my customers in the United States will be stated so in the item description. With the high cost of gas, I am now offering free shipping. Items that are shipped free will ship via the USPS. If it is under 13ozs it will ship 1st class mail. Over 13ozs will ship parcel post. Parcel post can take a long time for delivery. I am not responsible for delivery times. I am responsible for ensuring that items ship in a timely manner. Thus I ship all items the next business day after you receive a notice that a shipping label was printed. Shipping insurance must be paid by the buyer.

I do not accept returns on items costing less than $10.00. Otherwise most items can be returned within 7 days of receipt of the item for a dollar refund of the item’s price. Please contact me before returning the item. The reason for the return will determine if the shipping and handling costs will also be refunded. Refunds will not be given until after the item is returned and inspected. Clothing can not have been worn. In most cases the customer is responsible for the returned shipping costs. Some items can not be returned. If that is the case it will be stated in the item description. International customers are responsible for any custom duty, taxes or other fees charged by their Country.
