Always Fair Shipping
Sometimes I receive gentle ribbing for my frugal ways, but never from one of my eBay customers. I was virtually born frugal, and now you can benefit from it. I diligently search out free boxes and packing material, and have negotiated a discount with FedEx to save you even more. All I need to buy is the packing tape and ink to print out the labels, and I pass the savings on to you.
I strive to offer reasonable shipping rates. The handling fee for buyers in the US added is almost always less than $1, but usually between $.25 and $.75. For international buyers, whose packages I need to bring to the post office, the handling fee is no more than $2, usually less. After Paypal takes its 2.5% cut--even out of the shipping costs you pay to me--I'm not profiting on shipping.In addition to my regular low shipping rates, when you buy more than one item from Laura's Last Ditch, I show my extra appreciation by passing along the money I save on shipping, meaning you can benefit greatly from the generous combined shipping discount for multiple purchases. Plus, my biggest customers receive my best shipping discount: FREE shipping within the United States on your entire order when you buy multiple eligible items totaling $200 or more from Laura's Last Ditch(almost everything is eligible).Sometimes, despite my best efforts, the shipping cost might still seem high if you live far away or in a different country, especially if the item is big or heavy. History/background
I've been selling practically my whole life, but began selling on Ebay in 2003. I started out selling on eBay using the computer at the public library, on one hour of internet access per day (and even achieved Power Seller status that way), but eventually I began to sell more than I could handle without doing it from home, and finally broke down and bought a computer. I love how eBay is a way anyone can start a business, with virtually no overhead and precious few supplies. Click on my 'me' link to find out more.

Personal Check and money order preferred, but I take Paypal due to popular demand.
Shipping information
FedEx is my favorite carrier, and I use it for most items that are more than five pounds. Things go out within three business days of payment, often sooner, barring any unusual circumstances. I use all recycled packing materials in order to keep shipping costs low and to keep mounds of packing supplies from entering the waste stream. If you buy a small item that goes First Class, there is a good chance my little assistant (shown in the beret) will hand-deliver it to the big blue mailbox a few houses down from us. He is always so proud to do it all by himself.
Return policy
I accept returns for refund of purchase price less s/h. If I substantively misdescribed the item, I will accept a return for full refund, including all shipping costs (most sellers require buyer to pay return shipping costs, but I do not in cases where I misdescribed an item, so you can buy with confidence). Buyer must contact seller before returning item, and seller may request that certain items be returned via FedEx Ground. Items should be returned in same condition in which they were received, within seven days of receipt.
