I still pay by check and MO only. Many years and no Paypal (I've had trouble with paypal twice, and other electronic fraud has cost me much money greif and falacious credit stain.) My checks don't bounce. I hope to continue to buy on eBay.

Vintage household items. Manufactured during 1930 - 1960, usually.

I'm reasonably well versed in american dinnerware; my specialty is my research into Laurel of California (and Joaquin, and Sylvan Ceramics). I'm semi-retired horticulturist by trade.

language, and history, and social politics, and text books, and - of course - horticultural reference books.

You see my name (and items) in a couple of collectibles books (Namely Michael Pratt's MidCentery Modern Dinnerware - the chapter on Laurel, and Maxine Nelsons' Collectible Vernon Kilns - certain specialty lines. I am interested in finding someone who can use my Laurel Research files and my Joaquin research files-and-great photos.

I am sorry to report that I no longer use paypal. I quit them after two sour events with company...and now with eBay forcing our hands, well I stopped selling period, and it remains to be seen the extent it might put the kibosh on my buying. SELLERS WHO ACCEPT CHECKS AND MOs and are willing to deal around this, I applaud you. If enough of you accept them I shall continue to buy. IF not, well searches will hardly be worth it, huh?

I'm never in a hurry...I want sellers to take their time packing carefully, and hit the PO or UPS at their convenience.
