Lavern Martin is a native of Savannah. She is a graduate of Kerr College in Augusta, Georgia and focused on Business Administration, and Savannah Technical Institute; Executive Secretarial Science. Marketing and Management at Draughons College in Savannah.
At age 20, she had the opportunity to participate in an 18 month on-the-job training program with Savannah Landmark Rehabilitation Project, whose mission was to restore many of the deteriorating Victorian homes in Savannah’s Historical District in conjunction with President Jimmy Carter and First Lady, Roselyn Carter who were catalysts for the development of Habitat For Humanity. A female wearing a tool belt, hardhat and work boots was not common at that time. It was one of the greatest experiences of her young life. She eventually purchased several homes throughout the city. She received her Real Estate License in 1996. Joined ebay in 2002. It has been fun.
