Best Sci-Fi Movie in a VERY long time!
I can't remember the last time I watched a movie and then immediately watched it a second time and third time. That's precisely what I did when I saw Jumper. Hayden Christensen was riveting in his role as David Rice, a person that discovers a natural talent for teleportation. This topic and idea hasn't been done in cinema until now, and that's precisely what makes this movie so original and fun. Similarly, Samuel Jackson's character made the movie work. Jackson, as he often does, carried the movie on his shoulders with his strong portrayal of Roland Cox. In fact, it might be cinematic karma that Samuel Jackson's character actually hunts down and attempts to kill Christensen's character. Why do I say this is cinematic karma? Because you'll recall that it was Christensen's Anakin Skywalker that effectively killed Jackson's Mace Windu in Star Wars Revenge of the Sith. There are several twists and turns in this movie that make it both fun and engaging. I'm eagerly awaiting a sequel and I'm quite sure there will be one since the ending implied a sequel. As for the DVD, I only watched the special features on the wide screen side, and it was an anime version of David Rice having to fight against Roland. I believe this was a concept mini film used in the development of the movie, even though the scene depicted had no resemblence to any in the movie.

Buy this & two minor extras that make it the BEST
I have purchased TWO of this model. My mother in law has a Megellan and I completely prefer to Garmin. Reason? You can search by business name and it will give you their phone number as well. This helped me out a few times on the road where I was able to call ahead to find out if a store had a particular item, if a hotel was booked or not, and for additional locations that were NOT listed. To my knowledge, the Magellan does not have that feature, but their built-in antenna is strong. Where the Garmin is weak is in its antenna... If you don't want the Garmin in your windshield, it probably won't work too well unless you're driving a convertable with the top down. I've purchased an external antenna that takes care of this, now I can put my Garmin on the passenger seat, in the cup holder, on my lap, or pretty much anywhere I want using that antenna. The reason I chose the 320 instead of the more expensive models is because if you spend about $20 on a 1GB SD card, you can fit the entire north american continent on it and you never have to worry about reloading anything (unless you ever want to update the maps). With the standard 128MB SD that comes with it, you can maybe put three states or three large vicinities on it. For the extra $40 (SD card & antenna), it makes the 320 EASILY the best value out there.

Alternate Ending Implied in Theatric Release
This movie was a great holiday hit for a reason. Sony's special effects house did an excellent job with New York City. The only time the CGI didn't work was in the very beginning when the sports car was racing through the city. I felt as though I was playing GranTourismo. The premise of the movie was effective and imaginative. The story-line was suspenseful and it built the idea of human survival even in the roughest of times. Perserverence will triumph every time. Where this movie went awry was when the zombies went from crazed zombies who lack brains (which would be why they love to eat brains so much) became an arch rival species in the intellegence department. There's nothing wrong with a crafty zombie, but the portrayal of a throwback species rivaling one of the greatest scientists man has ever known (Will Smith's character) wasn't believable. Further, the zombies themselves displayed abilities that defied physics. One of the subplots had to do with the alternate ending. Being familiar with Sony's special effects department, I was aware of the ending AFTER I had seen this movie in the theatre. The original ending was not a surprise to me because it was implied all throughout the subplot between Will Smith and the zombie leader. The original ending, however, tested so awfully that Sony had less than 2 weeks to manufacture the ending that made it into the theatres. The writers would have done better if they permitted the zombies to "feel" emotions, but kept the spider man like acrobatics and human-like intellegence to be in line with physics and the "reality" portrayed in the destroyed New York city. At the end of the day, this movie was very entertaining and it eliminated all doubt that Will Smith is the blockbuster male actor of Hollywood.
