I like antique, old things. They remind me of the past, which I think is important because we can learn from the past. Quality used to be more important than it is now -- people weren't in such a hurry. I am a country girl who likes a slower pace.

I buy things of purpose that are also artistic. If I need something, why not have it be appealing to the eyes and senses?
