Amazing Grace, historical and inspiring
0 of 1 found this helpful Wonderful story of the time when the British parliament was struggling with the morality of the lucrative slave trade on their ships. A great performance by Ioan Gruffudd, as William Wilburforce who is led to Christianity by his minister and friend, John Newton, who wrote the very famous hymn, Amazing Grace. His conscience will not allow him to sit idly by while humans are shackled in the holds of ships and taken across the sea to live as slaves, in countries such as the US. It will leave you emotionally drained.

U-Turn
I am a Joaquin Phoenix fan and wanted to see this as one I hadn't seen up until now. Well, don't bother. Joaquin had a small and strange roll, and the story is wierd and cruelly violent also. I don't understand how some can say it is the best movie they have seen, etc. But of course we all have different tastes. I would not recommend this movie to anyone.
