2 of 3 found this helpful Bought this boot because I want to save some time to replace broken boot on my car. It is very expensive for just for the lousy put together kit from all over the place: grease from UK, Rubber boot from China, useless metal strap from India.
CONs:
1) Poorly written instruction on single 8x11 paper in dual language. The steps sequences is out of order, eg: it instruct you to pack the grease the joint before you glue the boot (this is absolute stupid, the grease will contaminate the boot thus it will not glue properly).
2) No specification can be found anywhere in the instruction, basically to you have the chance to cut or remove the old boot. If it does not fit: you are royally screwed.,
3) Incomprehensive instruction, it does not make any sense in any language. must be commission to write this by an junior high kid.
4) Glue content only 1/3 of the container.
5) It is very difficult to apply the without spill it. The spill glue will caused the rubber to weaken and turn the color of the rubber white.
7) The universal finger rubber join is a poor joke. It will not fit flush to the boot and very difficult to install.
8) Metal strap is another big joke. the width is narrow and very thin, it does not secure the boot in place.
PRO: Alternative way to replace the boot. However time will tell how long it will last. A Day after the installation I can see the white discolor of the rubber due the glue spill and smear.
Conclusion: Don't waste time or money on this product, spend a little more time replace the rubber boot properly with the tradition one, or get the mechanic to replace it. This product sound good on paper, it is sub-part compare to the tradition boot.

Work Great for 3d Printer Levelling
Bought this to use on 3d printer as automatic bed leveling sensor. This sensor works great with glass, perfboard on the aluminum bed. Previously bough another sensor with 3mm detection, it turned out to be a waste of money. This sensor is very sensitive will detect up 12mm. And yes, the spec said 6-36V, it works with 5V without any voltage divider. Plug in directly to ramps board, works perfectly with Marlin Firmware.
