We are fraternal twin sisters who enjoy cooking, cookbooks, & the Food Network.We enjoy taking turns preparing recipes from our growing collections. We have so many wonderful memories associated with food and we want to keep our family recipes alive.

Some of our best finds include antique moon pie cookie molds picked up in Chinatown, near downtown Los Angeles and Peruvian rice molds. We are looking for chocoteja candy molds and are hoping our aunt will suprise us when she returns from Peru.

We are nuts about cooking! Our mother is Peruvian so we were brought up with good food and the family tradition of eating together at the table. Some of our friends had microwave mothers and would often eat fast food- a very sad reality of our country. It makes us very happy to be a part of the Ebay community and to hob nob with other foodies. We had a chance to travel to South America a few years ago and visited Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, and Ecuador. It was difficult to find books in some of the countries, so it made us appreciate the availability of books in our country. We hope to travel again perhaps to Brazil or Thailand and to return home with more cookbooks and recipes. We wanted to say thank you to our friends and customers. LLDJBooks was launched in October 2008. Our 1 month South American adventure in 2007 really immersed us in South American cuisine - especially Peruvian. We decided to create a little side business in a field that we were very interested in, since we collect cookbooks anyway and occasionally have to downsize.

We ship within to the United States. We generally price shipping costs between $2.99-$3.99, depending on the size and weight of the package, and depending on the cost of the envelope. We try to be fair about this. It kills us when some sellers ask for an unjustified shipping fee for a tiny book.
