Payment policy
Usually Paypal prefered but will accept postal orders and personal cheques presented in Pounds Stirling (UK Currency). Cheques can take upto and sometimes longer than 10 days to clear. We usualy visit our bank on a tuesday or a thursday, so there may be a slight delay befor we can deposit the cheque. Then we always wait until a cheque clears at the bank before we despatch the goods. If you do not mind the delay send a cheque, but if you do send a cheque please do not complain the goods are taking a long time to be despatched.
Shipping information
We do not rip people off like some people who do not make manual adjustments to the final postage. We try to find the best method of despatch that keeps prices down. We try to offer recorded signed for options where possible. For heavy expensive items we prefer to use the Parcels service and incorporate insurance. For further details email us or read the listing for special information where applicable.. . . . . . . . . . . We bought 9 railway wagons for our club members and we were ripped off by over £5.00 more than the highest 2nd class postal fees. We promise never to do the same to our customers...
Return policy
We have two policies, one for buy it now and another for auction items. Buy it now buyers have 7 days to contact us to arrange returning goods and auction customers can return goods if they are wrongly described. Errors like a wrong photo do not count as the discreprancy can be seen prior to bidding.

Who or what we are
We are the members of a model railway Group, collectively known as the Workington Model Railway Group. Our membership is made up from local modellers, members living in the UK but away from West Cumbria and some members living in mainland Europe who moved from West Cumbria.
OUR PROMISE TO OUR EBAY BUYERS
On behalf of the Locomotive Model Shop and the Workington MRG, I Tom Jenkins, the group sales Officer promise that we shall not charge over the odds for post and packing. When I owned this shop prior to it changing hands I built up a good reputation for fair trading. I bring these policies to this group and will always do my best to make sure our customers get a fair deal. We have to use a private car to take our packages to the post office and try to charge as litttle as possible for these expences. We do incorporate slight overheads in our P&P charges but nothing what we would call excessive. We do not like to get ripped off and on that principle we don't want our customers to be overcharged either.
