The idea of the basket purses originated over a year ago. I made a basket purse for myself out of vintage Enid Collins jewels and immediately fell in love! I received such wonderful feedback from so many people and knew that I wanted to continue to create unique baskets to bring to others. The entire process is extremely rewarding. To watch each basket transform into such precious purses brings a huge smile to my face! I hope that they will bring a smile to yours too! Everything about “Love, Taryn” baskets are unique. From the sewing to the cutting of the lids, all of my techniques are self-taught. Although I may do things differently than most, I find that it makes each basket all the more special! I am not afraid to try new techniques and go that extra mile to make these baskets very unique. What I hope you will see is that nothing but pure TLC goes into each one! What you should know: -Many, if not all, of Love, Taryn baskets are adorned with rhinestones/jewels. Although I take every measure to ensure they are secured properly, this product is not recommended for children 3 years and under. - The baskets are made out of chipwood. I carefully choose the basket beforehand, however, there are usually some sort(s) of imperfections in the wood. I find this only adds to the charm! - Each basket is different in shape and size. I cut the lids to fit the rim of the basket as perfectly as possible, but since the rims are not perfect circles/ovals/rectangles, neither will be the lids. - Please take into consideration that the entire process is self-taught so my techniques are different from others. This has been a most-rewarding project, and I am so very pleased with how it all has come together!
