I am a 45 year old Pennsylvania resident born in Lancaster, PA. I have been buying and selling on Ebay and through other channels- part-time- as far back as 1999. I have been working full-time doing such work since 2004.

I sell only what I own. I rarely sell on consignment. It used to be that 60-70% of items would be auctioned. However, due to market changes, only about 25% of the items I purchase today are auctioned, while the remaining items go straight to my store with a fixed price. Generally, about 20% of what I buy-after some investigation-is scrapped because it is deemed COMMON and sent back to local auction for sale. I make great strides not to pollute my store with items you see elsehwere. If you can find it elsewhere, my pricing should be the lowest..or it was when I listed the item! Markets change, I work my store inventory (it evolves) to ensure an item is not common or listed for a prolonged period of time.

When I first started, I would buy anything I could not pass on; I brought home EVERYTHING that perked my curiosity. Stuff scattered everywhere with no connection to one another. Nowadays, my buying search has narrowed. Specifically paper items, pinbacks, and books. I am keenly organized and feel schooled by my tenure, but I still come across items that I have never seen and make purchases- on a lark -or perhaps because the item- has feeling- which is the criteria of what propelled me to make my first purchases for resale many years ago. I still make buying errors and buy stuff that a day later I would give away if someone would just take it! I do, however, make most of my purchases on a complex set of criteria and couple that intellect with an innate ability to value an item. When I was young, I would scour catalogs and was generally curious about the price attached to all things (since I WANTED everything) which I believe has benefited me to this day.

Early on, I felt compelled to keep many items that I thought were exceptional but have learned, since then, to part with any material item. Learning to DISENGAGE, in many respects is paramount to loving your life and I have been touched by many items that have passed through my hands- onward to others who may find its joy. This line of work teaches you the value of money and provides a true understanding of materialistic value. A material item is worth nothing until you sell it. I tend to keep, or collect intimately valued items, but everything else in life is more valuable than anything that is material in nature. I do still have a fair collection of baseball cards but rarely trade them anymore. I have a small book collection (mostly related to family; historical data) and bar memorabilia which consists of bar lights, swizzle sticks, glasses, etc. I also have a collection of LP records that come and go.

Wilco, Elvis Costello, Def Leppard, The Dandy Warhols, Neil Young, a lot of Folk music such as Joan Armatrading or Arlo Guthrie. Jazz Instrumental music such as David Benoit. 1960's-induced music such as Nektar or Smith which generally can only be found on vinyl.

Generally stay away from Reality shows but sometimes stop while surfing channels to catch a moment until my brain is reduced to rubble and my eyes are completely glazed over. American Idol can hold my attention but wanes at times. I like The Office, 30 Rock, History Channel, I like that guys voice on City Confidential, some cop / investigative shows, and all Phillies games although luster has been lost since the passing of Harry Kalas. Harry and Whitey, in their prime, would sometimes say NOTHING for prolonged periods of times allowing the viewer to feel AT THE GAME. God Bless Harry & Whitey (Richie Ashburn).

Lucky's Ebay Store opened in early 2004 with perhaps 100 items. My business is online only, I do not have a brick and mortar store. I do buy large collections of similar product that you see listed in my store so contact me if you have a collection to sell. I enlist no help in what I do and prefer it that way. I have no interest in managing people, only product. If a mistake is made, its because I made it. I have a Business Management degree from the University of Phoenix and a certificate for Visual Basic Programming from The Learning Tree International.

Items ship within 2 business days of purchase. However, I generally ship every morning, Monday through Friday.

Some items I cannot take back since people are known to burn a CD, scan an image, or copy what they want and send it back using something other than the truth to get their money back. Generally, however, I rarely have a return and when I do its because I messed up and did not see a tear, a stain, or something that the buyer brought to my attention. In those rare cases, I provide refund to include all buyer costs.
