Business InformationHistory/background
I started collecting comic books when I was a kid (in the 70's). As an adult I started buying comics by the boxes instead of single issues to complete my collections. As you can imagine I started getting a lot of comics books that I either didn't collect, didn't like or already had. First, I took the ones I didn't want to my local comic book store. They offered me 10 cents a piece for them. Since I paid more than that for them, it didn't make sense to do that. Then I tried getting a table at the collectors show at the local mall. I priced them at half the Overstreet value or cover price (which ever was more). I did this about 4 or 5 times and broke even each time. Then I opened an eBay store which worked well until they raised their prices and priced me right out. Now I'm just keeping everything but the doubles. I list my doubles on eBay for a penny and hope they go up from there. Any profit (if any) that I make I use to buy more comic books to hopefully, someday complete my collection
Payment policy
I prefer Money Orders just because there are no Pay Pal fees involved. My second choice is Pay Pal because it is the fastest method. My last choice is Personal Checks because I have to wait for them to clear the bank and occasionally they bounce etc. etc. etc. When I win something I usually pay with Pay Pal because it is the easiest and most convenient.
Shipping information
For comic books (which is what I am usually selling) shipping to U.S. or Canada I charge $4.00 for the first comic book and $.25 for each additional comic book that ships together. Comic books shipping anywhere else I charge $8.00 for the first one and $.50 for each additional comic that ships together. I ship 1st class mail. I used to ship media mail but the post office informed me that comics don't qualify. Items other than comic books depends on what it is, how big it is and how much it weighs (check the listing, it should be stated there). I usually ship out items the next day if paid via Pay Pal. Occasionally, next day shipping is not possible (weekend, holiday, or sometimes I just couldn't make it to the post office). The longest I have ever taken to ship a package paid for through Pay Pal was 3 days. Money orders are the same as Pay Pal except that obviously I have to recieve it first. Personal checks I wait 10 working days (Monday through Friday) before shipping the item.
Return policy
Return policies are kind of hard to pin down. Sometimes it depends on what the problem is. Luckily for me I've actually never had the problem but have thought about it. My prefered method is to offer a discount and return some of your money (especially if paid for via Pay Pal). Second option: you return the item, I return your money excluding shipping. If it was really bad and I felt like you got royaly screwed I might even return the shipping fees too. In the event that I felt that I did nothing wrong, described it accurately, packed it well, shipped it timely etc... unfortunatly it would probably just be too bad. As I said before, luckily for you (and me) I'm a fair and honest person. I've never had a problem and don't plan on having any in the future.
