Hole was too small for mounting bolt.
I tried to install this lever on my '71 TS185 and the hole in the lever was about .002" smaller in diameter than the mounting bolt's shoulder
(a .313" pin was the largest that would fit through).
The original lever's hole was about .015" bigger. I ended up having to drill out the brass bushing so it would work. Not sure if all these levers are like that or someone just goofed on mine. The lever looks good though, and now fits.
