My alias was given to me by a coworker back in my computer consulting days -- I just happened to be a new Academy of Magical Arts member and did little shows while traveling. My associate called me MagicBoy and it just stuck.

Though a web geek since 1995, I never got into selling my stuff online, except those old VHS on Half. I seemed to always donate locally for the tax credit.

I prefer shipping Priority Flat Rate Envelope because a) it gets there quickly, especially for larger items; and b) you can squeeze a lot in there for a modest fee. If I list for Parcel Post or Media Mail you may actually get it First Class -- I compare those rates to 1st. Typically I will reflect Media Mail or Parcel Post if shipping is listed as FREE.

Software is a tricky matter, especially where licensing is concerned. I issue transfer of ownership letters to my buyers so that they can contact the product company if there are issues with the software AND they can register it in their names. Outside of software (where key codes have been in someone elses' possession), I keep my USED items in top shape and if they're returned in the same condition, unused, then we'll just work out the best solution for a win-win.
