Baxter-Self-titled 1998 CD
Definitely a great snapshot of 1998 electronic music. This came out at a time when drum n bass was working its way into many UK recordings and this group does it in a very clever and understated way. It came at a time when groups like Hooverphonic and Portishead were the norm. Every track on this LP is great and the use of sampling is very slick. If you like chilled out electronic stuff like Supreme Beings of Leisure, and other acts from that time period, check it out, and if you like a little drum n bass mixes in, well then definitely pick it up! Let's go back to a time when music wasn't so contrived!
