My Business
All About Me
What everyone should know about me
There are many techniques to finishing my applique quilt blocks and iron-on appliques. Don't be afraid to try if your a beginner because its really simple and fun to do. You will really enjoy it and its good stress therapy. Email with questions!
Things I sell
First on my applique blocks.... The appliques are already fused to the blocks
,
meaning they are stuck with fusible web however they are not permanently stuck unless you stitch or paint around the edges with a permanent washable fabric paint. You can either use a sewing machine satin stitch or a zig zag stitch to sew around the edges of the appliques. You can also hand stitch them which many of my customers enjoy doing but of course that takes longer. Then all you have to do is sew the blocks together as you desire. You can use strips of fabric in between the blocks or just sew the blocks together and then add a border if you wish. Then all you have to do is add your batting
,
backing and quilt as desired. Its really simple. You can make quilts
,
baby quilts
,
quilt wall hangings
,
table runners
,
table toppers
,
placemats
,
throws
,
etc. Once you get started your mind will kick into gear and you'll think of all kinds of things to make with my blocks. I have done the hard part for you by
Things I buy
Now if you want to use permanent washable fabric paint which would be the fastest way for those that don't have alot of time. There are several great fabric paints on the market. I like Tulip brand myself. You just go around the edges of the appliques and lay flat to dry for about 24 hours and then finish as desired. No sewing required around the appliques if you use this method. I have made many wall hangings using this technique and they look great. There are 100's of colors to choose from.
Things I collect
Now for the appliques.......My appliques have the fusible web already applied to the backs. All you need to do is peel off the paper backing
,
use a medium hot dry iron and press them for about 7 seconds onto your fabric
,
clothing items
,
projects
,
etc. And then finish using a method above if desired. You can use my appliques for quilts
,
childrens clothing
,
adult clothing
,
bibs
,
home decor
,
wall hangings and much more! Its that mind thing again. Tip....take a straight pin and drag across the back of the applique paper cutting it to make peeling off the paper easier.

I needed a cat quilt for Purrfect Pals' silent auction. Your scrappy quilt blocks and sashing made it quick and easy. Purrfect Pals is a no-kill, non-profit, cat only, shelter in Arlington, WA
