The Vanished Man; 5th book of the Lincoln Rhyme series
A world-class stage illusionist meets forensic science. Deaver's research into the world of illusion, quick change, misdirection, sleight of hand, escapism, and mentalism shows throughout the book. It is especially evident in his writing that he learned the art of misdirection very well. Sachs seems to play a more prominent role in this one. Typical Deaver, with twists and turns all the way. An unusual plot with strong characters; the book flows, a real page-turner.
