I started playing Magic way back about the time Arabian Nights was released. My roommate owned a comic book/gaming store and he got me hooked. I loved all the permutations that Magic brought to the card gaming enviroment. Unfortunately, I became disenfranchised with Magic in 1999, because 1) I had many of my most valuable cards (moxes, juzam djinns, etc.) stolen from my house, 2) the game was changing to a game of ruthless speed and efficiency that made the game too clinical and less fun, and 3) the expense needed to keep up with the curve just wasn't worth it to me. I started selling my cards in 2000 on Ebay, but I still have quite a few left that I wish to part with. I simply don't have the storage room for them anymore. I haven't played a game since somewhere around 2001, except for a few sealed deck tourneys I got talked into.
Payment policy
PayPal please. However, I am willing to discuss other methods if it becomes necessary.
Shipping information
On Magic cards, I charge $3.00 for shipping. I am not overcharging to make a profit, I just also include the charge for doing business on PayPal to accept credit cards, and my listing charges in with the shipping charge. Otherwise, I wouldn't make profit on the cards (which usually sell for only 99 cents). Here is how it all breaks down: PayPal credit charge ~.60, Ebay listing charge .20, Ebay final value fees varies but from .06 to .15, so call it .10 average, USPS postage cost 1.13, bubble wrap shipping envelope ~.60 per. This comes to $2.63 which I round to $3.00. Essentially .37 possible profit from shipping, which I certainly lose in gasoline transporting the packages to the Post Office. In any case, I felt I needed to explain the costs so that my potential buyers understand that I am not trying to make my money off the shipping. Additonally, if you win multiple auctions, I charge only $1.00 per additional item beyond the first item, as I will ship them all together.
