I love vegetable gardening although it is a new love. It is quite a challenge in Texas, trying to find good soil and something that the sun will not burn up. I am a native Houstonian and have learned to shade well. I love the beach and any kind of water. My husband and I just built a retirement home on Lake Livingston, on the water, and we are finishing the inside ourselves. It is coming along nicely. We have about 7 years to finish it before we retire.

OMG, I could not list them all. I LOVE Phillipa Gregory's historical fiction books about King Henry. Pretty much everything on Oprahs list - at least for the past 2 years - i have read. I am reading biography of Howard Hughes right now. I love biographies and non-fiction as well. True Crime.

I am pretty much open to all types of music. I love music and couldn't live without it. I actually cry sometimes when I listen to music. My children have really broadened my mind, with their different taste in music, and I have been exposed to so many new artists and genres that I would have never listened to had it not been for them. I think music is very personal and I always allowed my children to listen to whatever they wanted (age appropriate, of course) and tried not to stifle their spirits. Because of that, I have been exposed to a myraid of different genre's and am very pleased at most types of music. Christian Contemporary and Country are my all time favorites. But like I said, all music is beautiful in its own way and I believe all music should be free.

My biggest joy is my grandkids. It is funny how when you are raising your own kids, you love them so much and try to do all the right things for them. It is very stressful. All couples long for the time when they are finished raising kids and can relax a little. Then comes the grand children. My husband and I are the most happy when they are with us. Ironic. But it is a totally different kind of love. A love undescribable adn delicious. A love so strong that even though you would die for your own children, the feeling is magnified with your grand children. It is God's wonderful way. Love makes the world go round.
